An Informed Voice from Inside Nepal

Thanks to all of you who are checking our blog regularly for updates. More importantly, thanks for your prayers. Unfortunately, there's just not been much news to report lately. We did find a recent article from the website MYREPUBLICA.com (their tagline:"News in Nepal: Fast, Full and Factual"...does it say something when they have to tell you they are factual as opposed to other news sources?!). It's titled "Don't Suspend Inter-Country Adoption" by Phillip Holmes, who is the Country Director of Esther Benjamins Trust, the father of two adopted Nepali children and lives in Kathmandu. (EBT-N is at the forefront of grassroots work in childcare, child protection and the fight against child trafficking). In our experience so far, its been difficult to discern what information coming out of Nepal is reliable and what is not, let alone to find someone "on the inside" who shares our worldview and is positive about the benefits of adoption.
